Born in January of 1978, Alan grew up with 3 sisters in a Christian home in the city of Huehuetenango, Guatemala.

As a child he showed great interest in music. When he was 11 years old, his mother found an abandoned dusty guitar that she restored which he used for his first lessons from a well known local musician named, “hermano Adrian”.

He involved himself 100% to the worship team at his church, “Tabernaculo de la Fe”, which his parents still pastor today. There he developed his talents as the worship leader and traveling throughout Central America with his team.

In 1998 he moved to Durango, Mexico where he graduated with a music degree from the Centro de Capacitaciones y Dinamicas Musicales A.C. or today known as Canzion Institute.

Towards the end of 1999, he became a member of Marcos Witt’s band. During his time with Marcos, he was an integral part of his band participating in tours, live recordings, arranging and composing, including projects such as, “Sana Nuestra Tierra”, “Dios de Pactos” and “Alegria”, which all won Latin Grammys.

He has also been a part of other project such as Coalo Zamorano, “Cosas Poderosas”, Ray Alonso, “NAF”, Vertical, “Invencible”, “Amazing God” and Ana Laura “Feliz”

God used his time in Mexico to develop his personal life as well, including meeting his wife Ruth, a beautiful and talented television producer. They were married in December of 2001 in Cancun, Mexico.

In 2002, they moved to Houston, Texas to work with Lakewood Church Spanish service where he spent 3 years as the music director of the choir and band. He expanded his knowledge in production and commercial media when he began work with Univision Radio in 2005 as a creative producer.

While continuing work at Univision, he finished his first solo album, “Mi Alma te Alaba”, which was released with CanZion Producciones. The praise and worship album was recorded live in his parent’s church in Guatemala. In 2007, the project was nominated for a Dove Award as the best Spanish worship album and has touched many lives throughout the U.S. and Latin America.

His second album, “Tuyo Soy”, distributed by Integrity Music, is a studio recorded project that contains declarations of joy, victory and restauration. An album that is integrally produced, it speaks of God’s restauration and new hope each day through Him who gives us abundant life.

Today Alan is not only a salmist of Integrity Music Latin, but manages the audio studio of one of the most recognized Post Production Facilities in Houston. He also is an independent producer, traveling throughout Latin America teaching the word of God, equipping worship teams and proclaiming God’s glory through music.

Alan lives in Houston, Texas with his wife Ruth and two children Grace Marie and Alan Daniel.
